Courage in Crisis - Product Description

The book opens with the details of James rape by an older, male cousin. Then it goes into his brief glory days as a middle and high school football star. The next chapters reveal his continual struggles with power, money and sex after leaving the military. Even after being shot and paralyzed, he continued to live a life of mediocrity, hanging out and drinking. He only began to change his attitude once he almost lost his life for a second time during a routine surgery. While still in intensive care, he heard a motivational message from Les Brown for the first time. His message stimulated James mind as his body struggled for life. Later on, the book describes how his mental and physical state improved. The book ends with the expectation of hope that I have now through Christ. It even has exercises in the back of the book so that readers can examine their own shortcomings.
